Sound Equipment and Accessories for Kingdom Halls, Assembly Halls & RBC'sHere are links to sites offering sound systems, improvements, add-ons and other accessories for use in theocratic purposes.
Audio Acoustics — Nice family owned business in southwest Missouri and they have been supplying high quality sound equipment to Kingdom Halls, Assembly Halls and other installations done by Jehovah's Witnesses. Fast turn around and a great bunch of brothers working with them. They've been around since 1962 and have a stellar reputation. If you are involved in sound at any level, you need to know them. Highly recommended.
KHCONF — Services designed to assist congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses around the world to tie in elderly and infirm members to meetings via telephone. Generic Conferencing's KHCONF service uses Voice over IP technology and open source software to create a simple, yet functional service with high quality sound at a very low cost. Services are presently available throughout the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico, and we are in the process of adding other Western European and South American countries. (Note: This description is the introduction from their web page. We know of several congregations using their service and the results are spectacular. If your congregation has anyone needing this kind of connection, this service will work.)
Remote Mast — In business since 1985 building automated microphone stands with remote control operation. Great for assembly halls and even Kingdom Halls as it avoids having a brother run out to adjust the speaker's microphone for him which can be disruptive. We've seen these operate at conventions and they are very nice.
Hearing Loop — Note: This is a secular site but has information applicable to Kingdom Halls and permanent Assembly Halls. They are a clearing house kind of site for assisted hearing induction loops. That's a complex term but basically entails setting up coils that can transmit sound to hearing aids and help the hearing impaired listen more easily during meetings without having to wear headphones, etc. This site has data and links to vendors if anyone is interested in this kind of setup.
