Recently Discovered JW Sites

This page contains recently found links.   Some may be new to the web and difficult to find, while others are just new to us.   In any case, we will put all our new links here for a time and then move them into the proper category.   So this is where to come to find out what's new (at least to us).   Also when sites are discontinued, we will post those here as well.

Bible Tour Louvre - A Canadian sister helping support her pioneering by providing Biblically based tours of the Louvre in Paris, France.   Since the Louvre is so huge, it's very helpful to have a guide who is a sister, speaks English and is knowledgeable about the place.   By law her groups are limited to 5 at a time.   Contact information is on site.   If you take one of her tours, let us know what you think and we will post a few select comments here.

Brother Binder - A site we are hosting for a brother who does spiral binding and laminating of paperback publications we use at our meetings.   Since he does this only part-time, be sure to communicate with him first before sending items.   Can also bind your own printed materials.   Name labels can be added for yourself or as a gift.

Pocket Library - A site with software to assist in organizing your data extracted from Watchtower Library.   The apps target the Android and Windows Mobile device platforms.   They specifically state they DO NOT distribute materials from Watchtower Library, only software to help brothers and sisters organize their study materials.   The site is forum based and requires registration.   Be prepared to answer questions via email proving that you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

WTpedia - A site that supports Watchtower Library for the iPhone / iPod Touch.   English, italiano (Italian), Español (Spanish) and Hrvatski (Croatian)

Witters World — is a site offering two Windows 7 Phone apps, TMS Tracker and Ministry Mate.   TMS Tracker is an app developed for Windows Phone 7 for use during the Theocratic Ministry School.   It shows the schedule for each week and allows the user to select which student is handling the assignment, along with the counsel point they’re working on.   It has a timer and email capability.   Ministry Mate is a theocratic app for the Windows Phone platform meant to be used by Jehovah’s Witnesses to organize and track their return visits and field service reports.   Follow the link below to download your copy from the market place. Fun Bible Games — A site in Canada specializing in printable Bible games in PDF format.   Given the cost of board games, their prices are quite low in the 5 to 10 dollar (Canadian) range.   Once purchased, they can be reprinted as often as the little ones like.   Titles include, "Pioneer Spirit", "Rainbow Promise" and more to come.

Kards 4 Keeps — A sister in her 80's is making her hand crafted cards available by the web.   Jane can add a picture of your favorite thing, from critters to teacups.   She can add a comforting or encouraging scripture, greeting or names/date to personalize your card if you like.

Bible Book Binding — New to the web since June, 2010, they specialize in binding all kinds of books and have a few surprises such a flip-over "God's Love" and "Bible Teach" in a leather cover.

Theocratic Online StoreThis site has been discontinued

RBI8 Build iSolo Files — A program that enables building iSilo files directly from Watchtower Library and then download to your portable device. Also a talk timer program and some sound software for playing/recording MP3s. Note. The site is very sparse with only minimal instructions.

Kingdom Media Center — At Jonesworks a brother has developed a program called Kingdom Media Center which is a Windows program to play MP3 music and record meeting content direct to MP3. This is useful rather than dealing with CDs for the sound department. Also offers a service for at automated attendant for the Kingdom Hall telephone.

Multi-Terr is a free program developed for helping congregations manager their territories. Using Microsoft Access (we presume only the run time is needed) it has features like multiple languages, municipalities and even neighboring congregations. Currently supporting English, French, Spanish and Russian, it has been available for a few years and the web site features a knowledge base and user manual that can be researched before registering to download the program itself. According to the web site description, this program is under continual development and improvement by a team of brothers. While we didn't take the time to test it, their web site is professional and updated with a new release in January, 2010. (Hint, although their site looks a bit different from ours, it uses the same CMS, so the search function, menus and breadcrumb trail work just like ours)

My Meetings — A brother who has been around a while (but new to us) and offers telephone hookups and Kingdom Hall conferencing along with other ways to make meetings available such as recordings. Be sure to visit his Telephone Territory page.

Kingdom Hall Recorder/Player — A brother has written a small program (English and Svenska/Swedish) to both play and record through the Kingdom Hall sound system. The link is to the English site and later when we launch our International Pages, we will put the Swedish link there. Program looks pretty simple and easy to use. The site appears to be hosted in Denmark.

Custom Book Ribbons — A sister creates custom bookmark ribbons for your Bible, or perhaps you have a bound Bible/Reasoning Book together. Or perhaps you use a large print Bible. Regardless, her ribbon markers fit into the spine of the book and allow multiple bookmarks. Great idea! She offers free shipping worldwide.

Butterfly Cards by Tricia — A sister in rural Dorset, United Kingdom (England to the rest of us) makes handcrafted greeting cards for various occasions. Be sure to visit her About Us and Rural Dorset England pages for some nice photos.

Ministry Gallery — A witness site located in County Galway Ireland offering a variety of ministry supplies including bags, diaries, greeting cards, bookmarks and even book binding.   Prices are in Euros and their product line is too extensive to review completely.   Visitors from Europe are encouraged to drop by and see what all they have.   Medical alerts are also featured.   On the web for several years, we just found out about them in May, 2011
