Years in the making, our Illustrations Library is a collection of illustrations, quotes, witty sayings and other materials intended for the platform, field ministry, Bible studies and the Theocratic Ministry School.
The central location makes for speedy location of an appropriate item. The current release (4.2 - October, 2011) has over 10,500 entries — fully indexed and searchable by words and/or phrases. Navigation is similar to the Windows folder explorer enabling a simple browsing of each category. When an item is chosen a single button click sends the information to your open word processor at the current cursor position.
Originally intended for use only by a few brothers (back in the 1980's), we put the first public edition on the web in 2002. We use it all the time when preparing talks, getting ready for return visits and Bible studies as well as the public ministry.
The project is very much a work-in-progress and continues to grow. Much effort has been spent weeding out duplications, urban legends and other unprofitable entries so the collection is both valuable and reliable. We have users in many countries around the world, so despite the library being English only, many bi-lingual brothers are using it in foreign fields.

Obviously, such a collection takes time to prepare, edit and keep current. It is not the work of a single individual, but many brothers have contributed over the years. We also have available a large collection of material adaptable to the library. Back in 2002 when we first put it on the web, we expected to perhaps reach a count of 5 or 6 thousand. Yet, today, our October 2011 edition has 10,506 entries. It took longer than originally projected but we finally reached the 10,000 mark. And it continues growing ... we have raised our expected top out at somewhere between 18,000 and 25,000 entries.
